The Adelgund street is a street in the Lehel in District 1 Maxvorstadt the Bavarian state capital Munich . It was named in 1845 after the second daughter of Ludwig I , Archduchess Adelgunde Auguste of Bavaria (1823-1914).

Adelgundenstrasse was part of what was originally known as the St. Anna suburb . It leads from Thierschstrasse in the south to the north and crosses Mariannenstrasse and Knöbelstrasse. Then it leads to Maximilianstrasse . The northern section of Adelgundenstraße was renamed St.-Anna-Straße and St.-Anna-Platz in the course of the development and construction of the St. Anna Church at the end of the 19th century .
