Adelheid Fürntrath-Moretti

Adelheid Irina Fürntrath-Moretti (born January 19, 1958 in Niklasdorf ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and member of the Austrian National Council .

education and profession

Adelheid Fürntrath-Moretti attended elementary school in Niklasdorf between 1964 and 1968 and then moved to the secondary school in Leoben until 1974 . She then graduated from the hotel management school in Bad Gleichenberg between 1974 and 1977 . After her training, Fürntrath-Moretti worked as a hotel clerk until 1981 and subsequently took over the Laufke restaurant and delicatessen in Graz .

Political career

Adelheid Fürntrath-Moretti is heavily involved through its business activities in the Austrian Business Association and the Chamber of Commerce Austria . From 1992 to 2010 she was deputy chairman of the gastronomy department of the Styrian Chamber of Commerce and in 2000 was elected regional chairman of “Women in Business” in Styria. In 2007, Fürntrath-Moretti was succeeded by Sonja Zwazl as federal chairwoman of “Women in Business”. Since 2010 she has also been President of the Women in European Medium and Small Enterprises (FEM). Between 1999 and 2006 she was also a councilor in Graz.

On October 30, 2006, Fürntrath-Moretti moved into the Austrian National Council for the first time, where she currently holds a mandate from the regional constituency 6 (Styria). She represents the ÖVP in the XXIV legislative period in the parliamentary committees Budget, Labor and Social Affairs, Internal Affairs, Family, Tourism and the Ombudsman Board.

In the legislative period up to 2013 she is a member of the National Council for the ÖVP in the following committees: In the investigation committee: Clarification of allegations of corruption; in the Internal Affairs Committee; in the Labor and Social Committee; in the budget committee; in the family committee; in the Tourism Committee and in the Ombudsman Committee.

Private

Adelheid Fürntrath-Moretti has two sons.
