Ademar da Silva Braga or Ademar Braga for short (born January 8, 1945 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian football coach .
Coaching career
In 1990 Braga took over the team from CR Vasco da Gama for a game. He looked after the team in the league match on August 25, 1990 with AA Internacional (Limeira) . The game was lost 1-0 and Braga had to give up the position again.
In 1999 Braga took over his first head coach. At that time he was signed by the Chinese club Shenyang Haishi . In the Chinese Jia-A League , the country's first division, he led the team to eleventh place. After a short time this engagement was ended. The following year, the football teacher took over the Iranian national team . He looked after them for three months. Braga took over the team from Jalal Talebi , who was still in charge of them in October 2000 at the 2000 Asian Football Championship . After three games and three wins, he was replaced by Miroslav Blažević . Braga then moved back home. There he will soon be working as an assistant trainer at Corinthians São Paulo . In March 2006, he dissolved Antônio Lopes as head coach and filled his post on an interim basis. On the 30th of the month, the club's board announced that they would use Brage as head coach. In May of the same year he was released and the club's successor, Geninho, was introduced. Overall, he looked after the Corinthians kickers in five league games, of which he could only win two.
