Adezai (village)

Adezai is a village in Pakistan . It is 15 to 20 kilometers south of Peshawar in the direction of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region .

In 2009 the leader of the local tribal militia was killed in a bomb attack. His son then took over the leadership of the militia. On November 15, 2010, there was another bomb attack on him. Two people died and three were injured.

On March 9, 2011, a suicide attack took place at a memorial service in Adezai. 37 people were killed. The attack was aimed at members of the local militia that works with the government. The Taliban confessed to the act.
