Azinphosethyl is a chemical compound from the group of thiophosphoric acid esters and benzotriazines . It is used as broadband organophosphate - insecticide used in the cultivation of various fruits and vegetables. Like other substances in this group, it acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor .
Extraction and presentation
Azinphosethyl can be obtained from benzazimide , which reacts with formaldehyde , thionyl chloride and DEPA .
properties
Azinphosethyl is a colorless solid which is practically insoluble in water.
use
Azinphosethyl is used primarily as an insecticide and secondarily as an acaricide . It has a broad spectrum of activity and does not work cumulatively. It belongs to the non-systemic organophosphorus insecticide with good ovicidal properties. It has excellent residual activity and is not phytotoxic . It is very toxic to mammals and is classified as highly dangerous by the WHO, which is why it is no longer used in many countries.
Admission
In Germany, the approval of active ingredients with this substance was revoked in 1995.
No plant protection products containing this active ingredient are permitted in the EU or Switzerland .
