Ovicide

An ovicide (Latin ovum = egg and Latin caedere (in compositions -cidere) = kill) is a chemical or biological active ingredient that kills the sexual products (= eggs) of parasites or inhibits their development. Ovicidal be as pesticides in agriculture , in agriculture , horticulture and the forestry used. They are also used in medicine , for example to kill the eggs of head lice (= nits ).
