Adiss Harmandian

Adiss Harmandian ( Western Armenian Ատիս Հարմանտեան, Arabic أديس هارمنديان; * January 14, 1945 in Beirut ; † September 1, 2019 in Santa Monica , California ) was a Lebanese pop singer of Armenian descent who last lived in Los Angeles and was a US citizen. His international hit was the song Mush Sasun .

Harmandian was an international pioneer of Armenian pop songs (also called estradayin ). He has received numerous medals and orders from Armenia , Lebanon, the United States and France for his life's work . The Armenian estradayin music movement began with Harmandian's hits. The first release of his estradayin music was "Dzaghigner", which was very well received internationally. "Nouné", the Armenian title "Karoun Karoun" was a worldwide hit. Also noteworthy in its genre were the songs "Ayl Atcher", "Aghtamar" and "Keshere Kesher". Harmandian released more than 30 albums. He was a recognized songwriter and composer who traveled the world and kept Armenian pop songs alive for more than four generations.
