The admirals Peak is a 305 m high mountain peaks , the 1 km south-southwest of Crépin Point on the west side of Admiralty Bay on King George Iceland in the archipelago of South Shetland Islands rises.
The French polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot named an object in this area as Le Poing (French for Die Faust ) as part of the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910 ). However, since this could not be clearly assigned to one of the four mountain peaks to be found here, the name has not caught on. In 1960, the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the mountain top described here after the Admiralen , the first modern factory ship for whaling , which was in service in Admiralty Bay in 1906.
