Adolf mistake
Adolf Fehler (born May 25, 1828 , † March 27, 1903 in Friedenau ) was a local politician in Berlin . From 1892 to 1903 he was a lay judge and deputy head of the office and community in Friedenau.
Fehler was one of the founders of the Friedenau men's gymnastics club in 1886 and was its chairman for a long time. In 1899, as aldermen of what was then the Friedenau country house colony, he signed a - but not realized - union contract between Schöneberg and Friedenau. After the resignation of the mayor Albert Roenneberg from 1902 until his death in 1903 he led the administration of Friedenau as interim mayor. Gustav Schnackenburg then took over this position.
The section of the street Am Friedhof running north of today's Schöneberg III cemetery was renamed Fehlerstraße around 1900 . This section was already built towards the end of the 19th century. Adolf Fehler was buried next to the entrance to the cemetery chapel. His grave has been preserved to this day.
