Adolf Furrer (weapons designer)
Johann Adolf Furrer-Kägi (born November 13, 1873 in Zurich , † January 15, 1958 in Minusio ) was a Swiss weapons designer.
He was director of the Federal Arms Factory in Bern and Oberst Brigadier of the Swiss Army .
His designs included the carbine 31 and the automatic weapons with knee joint lock such as the Lmg 25 , the 20 mm anti-aircraft cannon 38, the 34 mm anti-aircraft cannon 1938 and 38/50, the MP 41/44 and the semi-automatic 24 mm tank rifle 41 and its variants as armored car cannon 38 and fortress cannon 38, both in 24 mm caliber.
