Adolf Lukas Vischer
Adolf Lukas Vischer (born December 31, 1884 in Basel ; † July 13, 1974 there ) was a Swiss physician .
Vischer worked at the Swiss Embassy in London during the First World War and visited civil and military prisoners; he became the world's most important expert on the " barbed wire disease ", which he also published in English ( Barbed Wire Disease ).
The “Adolf Lukas Vischer-Haus” retirement home at Steinengraben 75 in Basel is named after him. He found his final resting place in the Wolfgottesacker cemetery .
