Adolf Maier (politician)

Adolf Maier (born June 17, 1861 in Schlader near Waidhofen an der Thaya , † March 30, 1935 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) and inspector of the Vienna cattle market. From 1909 to 1921 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria .

After finishing elementary school, Maier attended middle school and subsequently graduated from the construction engineering department of the construction and engineering school in Vienna. He then worked as a technical officer for the city of Vienna and inspector of the Vienna cattle market and was also a landowner in Thaya. In addition, he worked as chairman of the horse breeding cooperative in Thaya, was a member of the district road committee, deputy chairman of the agricultural goods traffic office, supervisory board of the Lower Austrian cattle traffic office and a member of the land traffic commission. He represented the judicial districts of Waidhofen an der Thaya and Dobersberg from January 8, 1909 to January 8, 1915 as a member of the Christian Social Party in the Lower Austrian state parliament and was a member of the provisional state parliament of Lower Austria between November 5, 1918 and May 4, 1919. He was then from May 20, 1919 to May 11, 1921 a member of the state parliament.
