from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Adolf Oehlen (* 1914 in Rheinhausen-Friemersheim ; † 1972 ) was a German illustrator and caricaturist.

In the post-war period, Oehlen drew a number of humor books such as the volume Astronaut Latin in 1970 , which received “Mini Science Fiction Stories” from Jo Pestum . He is the father of the artists Albert and Markus Oehlen .

The illustrations in the books of the Meterverlag come from the motifs of a plastic bag filled with caricatures, which Albert and Markus Oehlen made available from the estate of their father Adolf Oehlen. The individual authors chose their illustrations from this stock.
