Adolf Reul

Adolf Reul (born June 1, 1891 in Selb ; † unknown) was a German entrepreneur in the German stone industry.

Life

Reul was born as the son of the entrepreneurs Andreas Reul and Friederike Zapf.

His father was the second generation owner of the granite factory Reul Granit in Niederlamitz . After the takeover, Adolf Reul and consul Roland Smekens developed the company into a leading company in the natural stone industry in Germany, which was also internationally active. In 1986, Heidelberger Zement Aktiengesellschaft took over Reul Granit AG, as well as two other companies, and merged them into a holding company: Teich in Kelheim and Marble Industry Kiefer in Kiefersfelden and renamed them Kiefer-Reul-Teich. In 1996, Kiefer-Reul-Teich was liquidated by Heidelberg Zement.

In 1952 Adolf Reul ran for the mayor's office and was defeated by an SPD candidate. Adolf Reul was chairman of the Association of German Granite Works and member of the board of the Bavarian Industry Association of the German Natural Stone Industry. He significantly promoted the establishment of the state college for stone processing in Wunsiedel.
