Reul was a stone industry company in Kirchenlamitz in the Fichtelgebirge . It was founded in 1909 by Andreas Reul senior. founded as a stock corporation. The company was active worldwide and was one of the largest stone industry companies in Germany. Reul existed from 1909 to 1996.

Company history

Andreas Reul founded the company W. Franke & Reul in 1890 , which operated a stone cutting shop and a granite factory as a public limited company. As early as 1906, Reul AG had 200 employees. The company W. Franke & Reul was sold in 1909 to the newly founded stone industry company Grasyma .

According to Andreas Reul sen. took over Andreas Reul jun. the Company. He was followed by the director Adolf Reul with the consul Roland Smekens, who ran the joint stock company and Plant I in Niederlamitz , while Plant II in Kirchenlamitz was in the hands of engineer Hans Reul.

In 1965 the company owned several quarries such as those for Kosseine granite and Epprechtstein granite in the Fichtel Mountains .

Roland Reul-Smekens was the last director of Reul. In 1986 the Reul era ended in family ownership, because Heidelberger Zement Aktiengesellschaft took over two other companies in addition to this company and merged them into a holding company: Teich in Kelheim and Marble Industry Kiefer in Kiefersfelden and renamed them Kiefer-Reul- Pond around.

In 1996 the Kiefer-Reul-Teich company was liquidated and the Reul company also went out.
