Adolf Richter (politician, 1900)

Adolf Richter (born January 2, 1900 in Donnerau , Waldenburg district , Silesia , † November 26, 1973 in Goslar ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Adolf Richter completed a teacher training course, which was interrupted by his military service in the First World War. He then worked in the Wroclaw District . He joined the SPD in 1921 and was involved in various positions with a focus on the advanced training of adults and workers. During the National Socialist era , he was relieved of his post as headmaster in March 1933, dismissed from the service and, after some time, reinstated as a teacher. He was drafted into the military and became a prisoner of war, from which he returned in 1946. As a result, the expellee built up a new existence, took over the management of a school in Wolfshagen in the Harz region in the Gandersheim district and was involved in looking after refugees. In the SPD sub-district Gandersheim- Goslar he took over the chairmanship from 1956, he was also a council member of the Wolfshagen community and a district council member in Gandersheim. From May 20, 1963 to June 20, 1970 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (5th and 6th electoral terms).
