Adolf Winkler (musician)
Adolf "Ramadolf" Winkler (born March 29, 1939 in Lomé ) is a Togolese jazz musician ( trombone , composition, arrangement, also balaphone and small percussion instruments ).
Winkler migrated to Paris in 1965, where he has lived since a stay in London (1968–1970). In 1970 he played in Ray Stephen Oche's Matumbo Orchestra , on whose first album he was involved as a percussionist. Partly under the name Ramadolf , he belonged in the 1970s and early 1980s to the Intercommunal Free Dance Music Orchestra around François Tusques , with whom he presented five records. He also played with Eddy Louiss ( Combo , Histoire sans parole ) and in Alan Silva's Celestial Communications Orchestra . He can also be heard on albums by Edja Kungali, Louis Xavier and Bonga . Tom Lord has 12 recordings as Adolf Winkler between 1972 and 1990 and 3 recordings as Ramadolf between 1979 and 1981 (or one - prescribed - as Ramaldof 1990).
