Adolf von Berg (crusader)

Adolf von Berg (* between 1120 and 1127; † July / August 1148 near Damascus ) was a German nobleman and crusader .

He is the eldest son of Count Adolf II von Berg from his first marriage to Adelheid von Arnsberg (or von Cappenberg).

In the army of King Conrad III. he accompanied his father on the Second Crusade in 1147 . According to the report of the chronicler Jean des Price , he fell while the crusade army withdrew from the unsuccessful siege of Damascus , that is, shortly after July 28, 1148.

He didn't have any children. His father's inheritance came from his half-brothers from his second marriage.
