Adorfium

The Adorfium is a regionally used stratigraphic name for the lowest level of the Upper Devonian in the Rhenish Slate Mountains . It is named after the place Adorf in the Sauerland , a defining place of discovery is the Martenberg cliff . The Adorf comprises the frasnium and the basal family of the international Devonian division.
