Jiangxia
The Jiangxia District ( Chinese 江夏區 / 江夏区 , Pinyin Jiāngxià Qū ) is a district of the sub-provincial city of Wuhan , the capital of Hubei Province in the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 2,014.5 km² and has 658,735 inhabitants (end of 2004). It is located on the south-eastern bank of the middle Yangtze River . This district is also home to the largest Chinese virology research institute , the Wuhan Institute of Virology .
Administrative structure
At the community level, the municipality is made up of six street districts , four large municipalities and two municipalities .
