Adrián Berbia , full name Adrián Berbia Pose , (born October 12, 1977 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
The goalkeeper Berbia, called 1.86 meters or 1.90 meters tall "Gallego", was first in the Segunda División from 1996 to 2000 , then in the Primera División in the squad of the Uruguayan club Bella Vista . From 1998 to 2000 he made 57 premier league appearances there. From the Clausura 2000 up to and including the Clausura 2003 he played for the first division club Atlético Peñarol . For the Aurinegros he completed 59 league games in this phase, which also included his short national team career. In 2003 his team became Uruguayan champions. In 2004 he played 23 games in the Primera División for Liverpool Montevideo . In 2005 two positions followed at Cerro and in Paraguay at Olimpia Asunción . In 2006 he was under contract at the Apertura at O'Higgins in Chile . In the Clausura 2007 he was active again at Peñarol. His first position at Juventud in Apertura 2007 led him to America de Cali in Colombia in 2008 . In 2008 there were at least 24 league appearances for him. He also came to the train in five matches of the Copa Sudamericana . The further career path led to Atlético Junior in January 2009 . For the Colombian club, he played 36 first division games and two games in the Copa Libertadores until his move in late September 2010 . After returning to his home country, he was in the ranks of the first division club Centro Atlético Fénix until the beginning of 2011 , but was only used twice in the league. From January 2011 to the end of March 2012, he contracted again to a club from Colombia and played in 36 league games for Real Cartagena . He then briefly belonged to Miramar Misiones and moved back to Juventud for the 2012/13 season. He completed 28 league games that season. In August 2013, he again joined the first division promoted Miramar Misiones. For this he was in the 2013/14 season, which ended for the club with a direct return to the second division, in 23 matches of the Primera División on the field. At the beginning of August 2014, his renewed move to Centro Atlético Fénix was announced. Subsequent to this, however, neither missions nor membership of the Montevidean squad are recorded for him. Rather, he signed with the second division Boston River in mid-January 2015 and played 18 matches in the Segunda División by the end of the 2014/15 season. In the 2015/16 season he was used 21 times in the league and rose with the club at the end of the season. During the 2016 season he made 14 top division appearances.
National team
In the Uruguayan U-23 selection, he was used at the "Torneo Preolímpico" in Brazil in the 2-1 international match against Argentina on January 29, 2000. Berbia was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He made his debut on July 19, 2001 under Víctor Púa as part of the Copa América 2001 in the group game against the selection from Honduras . He played his second and last international match in the same tournament and against the same opponent on July 29, 2001 in the game for third place.
