The Club Sportivo Miramar Misiones , or Miramar Misiones for short (nicknames: Cebritas , Monitos , Milrayitas ), is a football club from Montevideo in Uruguay . The club's soccer team plays in the second highest Uruguayan league, the Segunda División , in the 2016 season .
The club is located at 3377 Avenida Rivera in the Barrio Villa Dolores . The club plays its home games in Parque Luis Méndez Piana , which holds 6,000 spectators . This is named after the owner of the field, who was one of the pioneers of the original Misiones club and which is now available to the newly created club.
history
On June 25, 1980, the current Miramar Misiones club was formed from the merger of the two clubs, Club Sportivo Miramar and Misiones Football Club . The Misiones Football Club was founded on March 26, 1906. The place of foundation was the Conventillo "Muchas Puertas" in Nuevo Pocitos, Montevidean (corner of Rivera / Pereira ). This club appeared in the red and black color of the anarchists with wide horizontal stripes on the club shirts in the division of the AUF . The founding date of Club Sportivo Miramar falls on October 17, 1915. The name of the latter, founded in the Parque de las Espinas with the club colors white with black stripes, was chosen based on a neighboring grocer's shop. He initially competed in the Anglo-Saxon League, but then joined the Federación Uruguaya during the split from 1922 to 1925. Before the two clubs merged in 1980, Club Sportivo Miramar briefly merged with Albion in 1976 to form Albion-Miramar . After starting under this name in what was then Primera B , this connection was dissolved a few months later.

The coach position occupied in the first division season of the promotion coach Luis Duarte . After the sixth game day he was replaced by Gonzalo De los Santos . In the 2013/14 season they finally took 15th place in the Apertura and the Clausura. In the overall table for the year, they ranked 16th and last in the table.
