Héctor Salvá , full name Héctor Salvá González , (born November 27, 1939 in Montevideo , † November 20, 2015 ) was a Uruguayan football player and coach.
Player career
society
The 1.70-meter-tall offensive player Salvá played for Canillitas in 1958. Then he was at least 1960 active for Nacional Montevideo . In the championship final of the 1959 season , which took place on March 20, 1960, he was in the starting line-up. In 1964 he was a member of the Rampla Juniors squad in the Primera División and was the league's top scorer with twelve goals in that season , thus contributing to the runner-up championship that year. In 1966 there was a station at Danubio . In 1968 and 1969 he was under contract with Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in Argentina. With this club he made his debut on March 8, 1968 and played his last encounter on December 7, 1969. A total of 31 games and two goals are recorded for him.
National team
Salvá was with the Uruguayan junior selection at the Junior South American Championship of 1958 in Chile South American champions. During the tournament he was used by coach Juan Aguilar five times (three goals). Salvá was also a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed 18 international matches between June 1, 1960 and July 30, 1967. He scored two international goals. He took part in the 1966 World Cup with Uruguay . His use in the quarter-finals against the Federal Republic of Germany was the only one in the course of the tournament. Salvá was also part of the Uruguayan squad selected by Juan Carlos Corazzo at the South American Championship in 1967 , which the Celeste decided in their favor.

Coaching
After his active career, Salvá also worked as a coach. In 1975 he coached Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata for two interim games. He had another coaching position at Miramar Misiones . With this club he was 1986 champion of the "B", the second Uruguayan league. In 1993 he held the coaching position at Nacional when he replaced Miguel Piazza for the last two championship games , but was replaced there on December 8, 1993 by Eduardo Luján Manera . In 1996 another term of office with the Bolsos was recorded, which ended on April 7, 1996 when Gustavo Bueno took over as an interim trainer.
