Leonardo Melazzi , full name Leonardo Sebastián Melazzi Pinela , (born February 4, 1991 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.75-meter-tall offensive player Melazzi has been in the first division squad of Danubio FC at least since the 2009/10 season . That season, he made four goalless appearances in the Primera División . In the following two seasons he played there 17 and 18 games, respectively, scoring one goal each season. In the Copa Sudamericana 2012 he was set up twice. From August 2012 to the end of January 2013 he was awarded to the Italian first division club CFC Genoa . The Italians made his debut on 16 September 2012 in the match against Juventus in the Serie A . He played his second and last league game for the Genoese on October 21, 2012 against AS Roma . After returning to Danubio, he played in eight league matches in the 2013 Clausura and scored one goal. In the Apertura 2013 he played on loan at the league rivals Centro Atlético Fénix and was used in seven league games (no goal). In January 2014, he was loaned to Miramar Misiones again . In the 2013/14 season he was used there eleven times in the Primera División and scored two goals. At the end of the season he finished 16th with his team in the overall table for the year. This meant relegation to the Segunda División . In August 2014 he moved to Switzerland for the second-class FC Lugano . With the Swiss he played in 17 games of the Challenge League in the 2014/15 season and with two goals contributed to winning the championship and the associated promotion. He was also used twice in the Swiss Cup competition and scored three goals. He then joined FC Chiasso . In the 2015/16 season he was used ten times (one goal) in the Challenge League and once (no goal) in the Swiss Cup. In mid-September 2016 he continued his career with the second division club Miramar Misiones and appeared ten times (two goals) in the league in the 2016 season. At the end of January 2017 he was signed by the first division club Sud América , for which he has played 20 first division games (two goals) in the current 2017 season (as of August 26, 2017).
