Adrian Ballmer

Adrian Ballmer (born January 23, 1947 ; resident in Liestal and Lausen ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ). From 2000 to 2013 he was a member of the government of the canton of Basel-Landschaft .

Professional career

In 1973/74 he worked in several legal traineeships before he became a court clerk for three years in 1975 . For 22 years (1978–2000) he was a member of the management team at Elektra Birseck Münchenstein .

Political career

From 1991 to 1999 he had a seat in the district administrator . From July 2000 he was a councilor and headed the finance and church administration. He remained in this position until his resignation on June 30, 2013, which he completed for health reasons. In the so-called fee affair, Balmer subsequently repaid the canton 98,372 francs for incorrectly settled compensation for mandates he held as a member of the government.

Private

Ballmer lives in Liestal, is married and has two grown children.
