Adrian Breitlauch

Adrian Breitlauch (born September 14, 1993 ) is a German basketball player on the position of construction and wing player. He measures 1.93 meters and has been under contract with the Eisbären Bremerhaven since July 2016 .

Player career

Having previously played football, Breitlauch played basketball from the age of 14 in the youth department of BSG Bremerhaven and in 2012 was runner-up in the youth basketball league with the U19 team of Eisbären Bremerhaven . He also gained his first experience in the men's area in the 2nd regional league team of the BSG.

For the 2012/13 season Breitlauch moved to the regional league team Itzehoe Eagles and was named the best newcomer in the 1st Regionalliga North by the internet portal eurobasket.com in its debut season . In 2014 he was promoted to the third-class 2nd Bundesliga ProB with Itzehoe . In the 2015/16 season he was named the best local ProB player by eurobasket.com . In 24 appearances for the Itzehoer he had recorded an average of 14.4 points as well as 5.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and two ball wins.

In July 2016 Breitlauch signed a one-year contract with Eisbären Bremerhaven from the basketball league . After completing his degree in business administration, he took the step into profitability. In the 2018/19 season, he was relegated with the Eisbären from the Bundesliga, played 33 league games for the team over the course of the year and scored 4.3 points per game. In the second division 19/20 season, which ended prematurely due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus , he was second in the table with the polar bears at the time of the premature end. They were therefore awarded the right to promotion to the Bundesliga. Breitlauch had scored an average of 10.1 points for the polar bears over the course of the season.
