Adrian van Hooydonk (born June 21, 1964 in Echt ) is a Dutch industrial and automotive designer . He has been Head of BMW Group Design since February 2009.

Vita

Adrian van Hooydonk studied industrial design at the TU Delft in the Netherlands and specialized in transportation design at the Art Center College of Design in Vevey, Switzerland. Before he took over the BMW Automobile design department in Munich in 2004, he worked for Designworks , an independent subsidiary of the BMW Group, in Newbury Park (USA) - first as Head of Automotive Design, later as President of the international design agency. In his current role as Head of BMW Group Design, van Hooydonk heads a design team of around 700 people worldwide and is responsible for developing the design of the brands BMW , BMW i , BMW M , BMW-Motorrad , Rolls-Royce , MINI and Designworks.

The replica of the lost Garmisch concept vehicle from 1970, which was presented in May 2019, goes back to his use .
