Adriana Trigiani

Adriana Trigiani (* 1970 in Big Stone Gap , Virginia , United States ) is an American writer .

Trigiani is the daughter of Italian immigrants and grew up in a rural area.

She discovered her love for theater and literature at an early age. She turned her passion into a profession early on, wrote stories and scripts, received awards and prizes and now also writes for television. The author now lives with her husband and daughter in New York .

Trigiani's birthplace, Big Stone Gap, is known as the place where Elizabeth Taylor once choked on the bone of a chicken wing during a promotional tour and was taken to the hospital. Trigiani takes up this experience in her first novel The Best Summer of Our Lives . Her books are published in Germany by Heyne Verlag , with one exception by Hanser Verlag .
