Adriatic
Adrias ( ancient Greek Ἀδρίας ) is the eponymous hero of the Adriatic Sea in Greek mythology .
In Theopompos he is both a namesake of the Adriatic Sea as well as the founder of lying in this seaside city Adria called, he also is the father of Illyrers Ionios , the eponym of the Ionian Sea .
According to Strabo , he is the namesake of the Adriatic estuary of the Po River , after which the city is said to have been named. Eudoxos of Rhodes gives the Messapier Pauson as the son of Adriatic .
