Aelurostrongylus is a genus of roundworms thatparasitizein the lungs of cats , martens, and rodents .

The representatives of Aelurostrongylus have a greatly reduced mating pouch , the spicula are relatively short and curved, the gubernaculum is poorly developed or completely absent. The vulva and anus are not terminal. The rib of the flap on the back of the mating bag is unbranched.
