Aeolus is free software for simulating a pipe organ . It doesn't use samples , but creates the sound synthetically.
Using mathematical calculation models, it simulates the natural behavior of a pipe organ. It was released as free software under the GPL and runs on Linux . Aeolus uses the free JACK sound server for sound output .
By dispensing with sampling, Aeolus uses few system resources and already runs on a 1 GHz computer with 256 MB RAM.
