Aeródromo de Almansa is an airfield in the municipality of Almansa in the Spanish province of Albacete in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha .
The airfield is around three kilometers north of the city of Almansa. The Aeródromo is approved for civil aviation under VFR conditions and is mainly used by light aircraft , agricultural aircraft and for surveillance and fire fighting operations in forest and wild fires. The operator is the company Agustín Medina Cuenca SL
Trivia
At the beginning of 2014, certification flights with unmanned aircraft (UAV) took place at the airfield . Flightech Systems Europe is currently the only Spanish company to have registered a certificate of airworthiness for a drone. The drone from Flightech Systems with the registration EC-LYG is used for monitoring forest and wild fires in accordance with the applicable law.
