Aeródromo de Palma del Río is a privately operated airfield in the municipality of Palma del Río in the province of Córdoba . The airfield is also known as Aeródromo Sebastián Almagro .
The aerodrome has been approved for general aviation since 1966 and is mainly used by fire-fighting and spraying planes and helicopters from the aviation company Fumigación Aérea Andaluza SA (FASSA). The Club Aéreo Palma del Río (Córdoba) is also located on the square. The air sports group uses the area for gliding.
The family of the professional pilot Sebastián Almagro Castellanos (1923-2006), the founder of the airfield and FASSA, is both the owner and operator of the airfield.
In addition to a flight school, there is a gas station, a restaurant, halls and maintenance facilities for around 45 aircraft and helicopters on the airfield.
