The Aermacchi M-290 TP RediGO is a two-seat training aircraft . It is driven by a propeller turbine and is used for beginner training. It was originally manufactured by Valmet in Finland as the L-90 TP Redigo for the Finnish Air Force. The prototype, a modified L-80, first flew on February 12, 1985. In 1996, Aermacchi bought the production rights.

construction

The aircraft is designed with a retractable nose wheel landing gear as a low-wing aircraft with elevator at the height of the rudder attachment. Students and teachers sit side by side under a transparent hood. The engine is housed in the bow. Like many other military training aircraft, when lightly armed, it can be used for weapon training and light support tasks.
