History and equipment

The two-seater high- wing aircraft had a wooden hull. The wooden wings consisted of a continuous spar. It was used by the Italian Air Force and the Army as a liaison aircraft. The tail was placed in the simpler version only on the fuselage. In addition, it had a rigid chassis. An air-cooled boxer engine of the type Continental C85 for the two-seater Macchi MB.308 or a Continental C90 boxer engine with an output of 95 PS (70 kW) for the three-seater Macchi MB.308G were used.
