Aero Mongolia ( Mongolian Аэро Монголиа ) is a Mongolian airline based in Ulaanbaatar and based at Chinggis Khaan International Airport .

history

Aero Mongolia was founded by Mongolian Airlines in 2002 and started its first flights on May 25, 2003. It was intended to serve as a feeder for Mongolian Airlines, Korean Air , Air China and Aeroflot to promote their international destinations at Ulaanbaatar Airport. The airline had 130 employees in October 2008.

The first Fokker 50 was delivered in December 2002. The first Fokker 100s in January 2006. With the arrival of the Fokker 100, Aero Mongolia started flights to South Korea for the first time . At the end of 2006 a line was set up to Tianjin in China.

Destinations

Aero Mongolia mainly serves national destinations. It also offers an international destination in Russia and two destinations in China .
