Ispingrade is a village in Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Ispingrade, a self-contained, rural suburb, is located south of Radevormwalder city center. The Wiebach , a tributary of the Wupper , rises northeast of the village and flows past the village in a deep valley to the south. To the west of Ispingrade is the Höhberg elevation ( 349.7  m above sea level ). Neighboring towns are Sieplenbusch , Kirschsiepen , Vormwald and Heide .

The place belongs to Radevormwalder constituency 40.

history

In 1286 the place was first mentioned in connection with the "Westphalian house sign" under the name " Ispelingrode ". In 1345 a document from the main state archive in Düsseldorf names the place name " Yspelincrodde ".
