Niedernfeld is a village in Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Location and description

The place is west of Radevormwald on the Wuppertalsperre . Neighboring towns are Obernfeld , Lorenzhaus and Herbeck . The Schwarzenberg spring, which flows into the Wuppertalsperre, rises 160 meters to the south . In the north of the village, the Karthauser Bach , which flows into the Wupper at Krebsöge, flows past. There is a parking lot for hikers in the south of the village.

Politically, the court is represented by the direct candidate from electoral district 130 in the city council of Radevormwald.

history

In 1715 the farm is listed on the Topographia Ducatus Montani as "an Feldt". In the map of the Topographical Survey of the Rhineland from 1825, the place is named with the name "Niedernfeld", which is used today.
