Wellringrade is a place and district of Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

It is located on federal highway 483 , which connects Radevormwald and Ennepetal . From Wellringrade, the district road 9 leads north to the Ennepetalsperre and on to Breckerfeld and south to Radevormwald-Stadt. Neighboring towns are Rochollsberg , Scheideweg , Leye , Knefelskamp and Uelfe III .

The Wellringrade unit of the Radevormwald volunteer fire brigade has a fire station. In the south is the Radevormwald Leye glider airfield, which is used by an airfield community consisting of several independent associations.

Wellringrade is politically represented in the city council of Radevormwald by the direct candidate from electoral district 170.

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1343/1344. In a document stored in the main state archive in Düsseldorf, there is talk of "war damage caused by the devastation of the troops of Cologne Archbishop Dietrich II von Moers ."
