Brebach is a court in Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Brebach is located in the north of Radevormwald near the village of Remlingrade . Other neighboring towns are Pastoratshof and Vorm Baum . The place can be reached via the Kreisstraße 6, a cul-de-sac in Remlingrade connects Brebach.

The Brebach , which flows into the Spreeler Bach at Griesensiepen, flows past the Hofschaft . The Bergisch-Märkische Landwehr cultural and soil monument forms the border with Ennepetal .

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1366. A Johann von Brebach is named as vicar at St. Gereon in Cologne .

In 1815/16 the place had 36 inhabitants. In 1832 the place belonged to the parish Remlingrade of the rural outskirts of the mayor's office Radevormwald . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had five residential buildings and two agricultural buildings at the time. At that time, 30 residents lived in the place, nine Catholic and 21 Protestant faith. In 1888, five houses with 45 inhabitants are listed in the community dictionary of the Rhine Province .
