Zum Hofe is located in the north of Radevormwald near Remlingrade . Other neighboring towns are Pastoratshof and Langenkamp .

Locally over flowing Remlingrader Bach , who at Beyenburg into the Wupper flows . 300 meters west of the village stems from the opening into the Remlingrader Bach Brackener Bach .

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1487. “Peter vom Hoff is listed on the loan list for Duke Wilhelm III. v. Mountain ". In 1715 the place name is “z. Hoff ”, in 1825“ zum Hof ​​”and in the topographical map from 1892 to 1894 it became“ Zum Hofe ”.

In 1815/16 the place had 35 inhabitants. In 1832 the place belonged to the parish Remlingrade of the rural outskirts of the mayor's office Radevormwald . The place, categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had five residential buildings and two agricultural buildings at the time.
