The Remlingrader Bach is a 2.9 kilometers long, orographically right tributary of the Wupper in Radevormwald .
Location and topography
The stream rises at 320 meters above sea level. NN west of the Radevormwalder Hofschaft Birken and initially flows in a westerly direction past Remlingrade and Zum Hofe . After it has received a tributary from the Brackener Bach, it flows in a wide arc through its distinctive brook valley past Im Wiesengrund , crosses under the state road 414 and flows across from Oedeschlenke at 202 meters above sea level. NN in the Wupper . The ridge between the Remlingrader Bach and the Wupper is less than 140 meters wide at its narrowest point.
Between the mouth of the Wupper and Remlingrade, the K6 district road follows the stream through its valley. This street is based on a medieval old street between Beyenburg (the official seat of the Bergische Amt Beyenburg ) via Remlingrade (Bergischer Allodialbesitz ) to Frankfurt-Elberfelder Strasse in the north of Radevormwald, an important medieval trade and military route .
