Knefelskamp is a court of Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Location and description

The Hofschaft is located in the northeast of Radevormwald in a triangle spanned by the district roads  9 and 10 and the federal road 483 . Three of four brooks that flow here and which the Wupper Association run under the common name of " Knefelskamper brooks " arise near the Hofschaft . After their union, these flow into the Uelfe . The waters and some of the adjacent areas belong to the Uelfetal nature reserve .

Neighboring places are Wellringrade , Leye , Neuenhof , Uelfe II and Uelfe III . Knefelskamp can be reached via a cul-de-sac that leads to Kreisstraße 10 near the village of Uelfe II.

In the north is the Radevormwald Leye glider airfield, which is used by an airfield community consisting of several independent associations.

Knefelskamp is politically represented in the Radevormwald city council by the direct candidate from electoral district 180.

history

1515 the person "Hans Knefel" is mentioned in the church accounts of the Reformed parish Radevormwald. The spelling of the first mention was "Knefel". In the map of the Topographical Survey of the Rhineland from 1825, the court is named "Kamp".

Hiking trails

The local circular hiking trail starting from the parking lot near Neuenhof and marked with the sign A1 leads through the Hofschaft.
