history

1544 is the year given in an approval document for the construction and operation of a grinding mill. In the "Cession Contract" document from June 1746, the family name Luhn is mentioned for the first time in connection with the grinding mill. In the literature, this mill is referred to as the Luhner mill .

Another mill in the village was located above the Luhn mill. In 1797 the mill called "Küppers Fulling Mill" until then was sold. In 1812 this mill also came into the possession of the Luhn family, who converted the fulling mill into a grinding mill. Johan Luhne, who lives on the Leimhol farm, bought the mill on behalf of his mother. This mill is called Leimholer Mühle .
