Hönderbruch is a court in Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Hönderbruch

The Hönderbruch farm is located in the south of Radevormwald on the city limits to Wipperfürth and to Hückeswagen near the Bevertalsperre .

The neighboring towns are called Hönde and Lichteneichen . The place can be reached via Kreisstraße  11, from which an access road branches off at Stoote (later a private dirt road), which also connects light oaks.

By Hönderbruch flowing Erlenbach , which in its further course in the Erlenbach-Vorsperre the Bevertalsperre opens . To the west of Hönde is the Scheuerberg ( 357.1  m above sea level ), to the northeast is the Moorbacher Berg ( 375.3  m above sea level ).

history

The courtship is recorded in the map Topographical Survey of the Rhineland from 1825 with the designation "Hunderbruch". The Prussian first recording from the years 1840–1844 names the place name "Hönderbusch". The place name Hönderbruch was only used permanently from the maps from 1894 to 1896.

The so-called "Hückeswagener Landwehr", raised in the last third of the 13th century, ran in the west. It protected the district court and parish of Hückeswagen, which had become Bergisch through purchase since 1260, from incursions from the district court of Radevormwald, which was still in Cologne. Other literature describes the part of this line grazing Hönderbruch as "Ispingrader Landwehr". It ran from Radevormwald Ispingrade via Marke to the vicinity of Stoote .

To the north-east of Hönderbruch, on a level flank of the Moorbacher Berg, lies the Hönde model airfield operated by the Radevormwald air sports club .
