Uelfe II is a village in Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Location and description

It is located in the northeast of the city area in the valley of Uelfebaches at the extending to Neuenhof County Road 10 South of the location opens the Röttscher stream in the Ülfe . Neighboring towns are Knefelskamp , Uelfe III , Mermbach , and Radevormwald.

The place Uelfe is mentioned for the first time in 1484. A "Clais in Olve" is listed in a loan list for Duke Wilhelm III von Berg . In the map topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 the place name is "Uelfe". In the Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1843, the place is listed under "Spiritusuelfe". Only the historical topographical map from 1892 to 1894 ( Prussian new admission ) mentions the place name in use today "Uelfe II"
