Önkfeld is a town in the town of Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Önkfeld is located north of the center of Radevormwald.

history

The place was first mentioned in documents as Unckincfelde in 1433/1434 when "war damage from the devastation of the troops of Archbishop Dietrich II of Moers from Cologne " had to be complained about.

particularities

Önkfeld has been known in the region for many years for the harvest festival celebrated there with a harvest procession. Tractors and trailers decorated by the local farmers and communities, as well as various foot groups, take part in this parade. This festival is organized by the "Kulturgemeinde Önkfeld", which maintains the so-called "House of the Kulturgemeinde" in Oberönkfeld (east of Önkfeld).

The annual festival "Tanz in den Mai" is also very nice. It is organized by the Önkfeld fire brigade fire brigade and every year welcomes numerous visitors at the beginning of May, also from larger, surrounding cities.
