Schlechtenbeck is a court in Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Location and description

Schlechtenbeck is located in the northeast of Radevormwald directly on the city limits of Halver and Breckerfeld on the Ennepetalsperre . The neighboring towns are Wellershausen , Hinüber , Borbeck and the town of Osenberg in the urban area of Halver . The farmsteads of the court are not freely accessible to the public. The area of the courtyard is enclosed by a spacious fence.

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate from electoral district 180 in the city council of Radevormwald.

history

The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 shows the “Schlechtenbeck” court. In 1923 Heinrich Josef Oberheid acquired the Schlechtenbeck estate. It remained in his possession until 1934.

The Hofschaft is located directly on the section of the Bergische Landwehr that leads past the Hofschaft , which stretched from Wuppertal-Elberfeld to Marienheide-Krommenohl. The Landwehr secured the Bergische territory from incursions from the Märkische. The local researcher Gerd Helbeck dates the emergence of this Landwehr to the early 14th century.
