Hermannshagen is a locality in the town of Radevormwald in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Location and description

The district of Hermannshagen, which has merged into the urban area of ​​Radevormwald, is located in the northeast of the city center of Radevormwald at the confluence of Hochsteinstrasse and Uelfestrasse. The Herrmanshagener Bach running west of Hochsteinstrasse is reminiscent of the place name .

Neighboring towns were Kotten , Mermbach and until 1913 the town of Radevormwald.

"Hermanshagen" was in an area marked by free posts in front of the city. In the map Topographical Survey of the Rhineland from 1825, the place is recorded with its name. The Prussian first survey from 1840 to 1843, as well as the subsequent more recent topographical maps, no longer name the place. In 1921, the development boundary of the town of Radevormwald reached as far as the town of Hermannshagen.

In the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district from 1836, two houses and fifteen inhabitants are given for Herrmansshagen in 1832.
