Aferdita Podvorica (born September 10, 1978 in Podujevo ) is a former Albanian soccer player . The striker played for the German Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam and WSV Wolfsburg .

Career

Aferdita Podvorica was born in the Yugoslav province of Kosovo . Her father and brother piqued her interest in soccer and started playing soccer in the streets. In 1993 she emigrated with her family and moved to Berlin . In 1995 she moved from the youth of Traber FC Mariendorf to SSV Turbine Potsdam. Between 2000 and 2002 she played for WSV Wolfsburg before returning to Potsdam. With the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam she was three times champion , three times cup winner and once UEFA Women's Cup winner . After several injuries, she ended her career in 2009 and is now the team manager.

Aferdita Podvorica is an insurance saleswoman. She is single and has two brothers.
